Before the service on Sunday we sensed that God was going to moved and He did! Tim continued with our Kings Speech series and preached on Ask, Seek, Knock. It was a powerful message and then another word was shared which allowed for a time of ministry to follow.
City Centre
Lunda preached in Zulu first at Umbilo in the morning. He continued his series on the Beatitudes.
Before the sermon at City Centre Durban, the matric pupils who started writing their final exams on Monday 26th were prayed for (see attached pic). Thereafter Lunda preached in English also from the Beatitudes about meekness, emphasizing that meekness is not weakness.

We had an amazing Sunday. I think there was an overflow of the preach from Peter on Worship and the unity of the worship team from last week’s evening meeting. The praise and worship was awesome. Gavin preached on overcoming fear and facing our storms, He called people forward for prayer and quite a few came forward. There was such an anointing that some were kneeling, others prostrate on the floor. We continued with worship through the ministry and after Gavin closed the meeting – how wonderful to see people in the church singing and worshiping rather than rushing for the tea and cake. I have the first line of an old Chorus running through my mind – ‘Its beginning to rain” …….. We are excited and expectant that this is the start of what we have been praying for.

We had a full house and the burst of zeal from our celebrations last week was still affecting everything. It is as if our levels of faith have risen up. All things are possible. We welcome several new visitors. Nceba continued our ‘Now we truly live’ series on 1 Thessalonians preaching on the first part of chapter two.
Frontier Church
We moved our venue from Africa Whispers to our home on Sunday so that we could have a Baptism service.
The weather was perfect! We encouraged a bring and share, the families enjoyed a time of friendship and the children had fun in the pool afterwards.
The morning was filled with the sweet presence of the Holy spirit. There were many tears shed as we shared a family moment. One thing that really hit home for us when people shared their hearts was just how we all can play a role in sharing the love of Jesus to someone who may never read a bible, want to hear a message or ever want to go near a church by simply loving and accepting them as they are.
A few of our visitors were smokers, one had a pentagram and the devil tattooed on his body and only begrudgingly came in support of one of our ladies. We got out ashtrays and made a space for them to be a part of the family and comfortable. Sitting together, chatting listening to their stories was fantastic! They came as strangers but left loved, accepted and like part of the family… they were one of the last to leave. They said they had never experienced this before, we believe this will be the start of another beautiful unfolding folding God story.

Hillcrest
It was yet again an unbelievably wonderful Sunday at Church with so many great testimonies and signs of life in Hillcrest.
The biggest highlight was that we saw 60 people going through the waters of baptism just this week! We saw young and old all make a stand for Jesus, and for the rest of the church there were many tears of joy at the overwhelming sight of so many lives being touched by Jesus!
Sunday also marked the return of Graham and Ockie from the recent response to refugees for CityHope Disaster Relief. It was great to watch a short video bumper of CityHope’s work in Greece right before Steve came up to share on Paul’s challenges in his ministry. It often takes hard work as we step out and do the things that God calls us to do. Steve shared about the three “tugs-of-war” we all face inside. These pulls are
1. Man-pleasing vs God pleasing
2. Corporate mindset vs family mindset
3. Hard work (for the Gospel) vs personal comfort
This message resonated with so many, and we saw 7 people raise their hands at the call of salvation.
It was also wonderful to have an evangelist, Keir Tayler, share with us on Sunday night.
We are so humbled and grateful for what God is doing in our midst. Monday, at our staff meeting, most of the time was taken up by people sharing testimonies of lives being changed all for God’s glory!

Sunday was great. Kirsty and Lola led us in an amazing time of worship, and Alf preached on living in the peace of God. After church we had our looking in time, and it was wonderful to see how many new families God has added to us over the past season. Our kids ministry is also going from strength to strength, something which has really been an answer to prayer. What a privilege to be able to play our small part in what God is doing in and around our city.
