Cato Ridge
We are really experiencing something special at Cato Ridge at the moment. Our praise and worship was awesome, our numbers are up and there is a great vibe amongst the members.
We were very blessed to have Eric and Gill with us. Eric ministered on Greater Capacity, New Opportunities.
We need to Get going – God cannot direct a stationery object.
Exercise your expectations – No expectations, no results
Forget the past
God cannot do things without us but we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.
We are praying that through a number of events in December we will impact the community. Our theme is December is a month to Remember. We are putting posters up and will be doing a letterbox drop as well with invitations to participate in our Potjie Competition on 16th December, a braai followed by Carols by Candlelight on 20th December and also mentioning our Christmas morning service. Please will you pray into these events.
City Centre
Lunda preached in Zulu at Umbilo on Mt 5.7 about being merciful. Thereafter he preached in English at City Centre Durban on the same subject, emphasizing that God is rich in mercy and that we have to be merciful like God.
We are planning our Christmas lunch for the congregation on Sunday 20th December.

Downtown
Sunday was a day of celebration as we saw one of our members getting baptised!
We celebrated her new life in Christ with cake and a breakie on Sunday morning together at a local café in Durbs.
We had prepared to do a teaching on the poor on Sunday evening but God was doing stuff during worship so we decided to just carry on worshipping together.
God ministed to several people through words and prayer.. It was a very special family moment together as we had people who never normally would share, give prophetic words and pray over people.
Frontier Church
This Sunday was one of the quietest services we have had. In these moments we can often look at the numbers and feel disheartened but once the meeting began we realised that this was a God appointment with a selected few.
The news and testimonies keep coming in of the ripple effect going out from our meetings and we anticipate much growth in Gods timing. One of the exciting ventures we are busy preparing for at the moment is that we have partnered with the Neighbourhood watch and Blue security to provide Carols and childrens entertainment at their annual Crestholme fundraiser. This is a wonderful way for us to have a presence in the community and build bridges.
Mike shared a great message entitled ‘Growing your faith’ and we read from John 4: 46-54. The meeting had such a prophetic edge and the men were very open and shared with such vulnerability afterwards. We realised that this moment was created by a loving Father who wanted to do something in the hearts of His sons.
One of our young people (Trailblazers) led childrens ministry and shared a message on Perseverance. Sean and Elzet Pedersen pioneer our childrens ministry and we love seeing our children blossom and flourish under their care.
We are consistently reminded of this call not to settle down and to be ready for what He leads with and to go where He says to go.
Umkomaas
Sunday’s meeting at CityHill Umkomaas was amazing…. Yet again, we stand amazed at how God is bringing restoration to individuals, couples and families through the life, hope and grace found only in our Lord Jesus Christ.
We were blessed to have Andrew Gibson aka Andy and his lovely wife Lorna join us this past Sunday, and in keeping with the series on 1 Thessalonians, Andy’s teach taken from 1 Thessalonians 3 brought to us a strong message to serve God with love and holiness. The service ended on a high with Andy and Lorna staying on after the service to pray with people.
Waterfall
We had a wonderful morning together on Sunday at Waterfall. Mike Saunders led us in worship and Richard James preached the next message in our series on Jonah, entitled “In the depth’s of my despair”, about being quick to turn to God when we find ourselves in times of trouble and despair. As a church we are also very busy wrapping shoe boxes, and filling them with toys and goodies, for our annual Christmas party, for the disadvantaged children at Kwayanuswa Creche in the valley.
